Sacramento Home Inspection Prices
Many times the first question buyers ask is what the fee will be. This should be one of the last questions asked. The first question should be why should I select you to inspect my new home? If the inspector cannot give you the vital information you need to make this critical buying decision, then the inspection is worthless regardless of the cost. The questions you need to ask of a potential inspector are:
- Do you belong to CREIA (California Real Estate Inspection Association) or ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors)? These are the only two professional organizations that have legally certified, psychometrically valid, testing standards. While some of the other organizations may have admission testing, most are merely trade and marketing associations.
- What are your qualifications, credentials and experience?
- Are you a full time or part time inspector?
- Do you carry Liability and Errors and Omissions insurance?
- Can you give me references?
- Can you show me a sample report? The report should be narrative with photographs, not a check list.
- What is your fee for my inspection?
Our fees are based on square footage, age, occupancy (single family or multi family,) and foundation type (a raised foundation takes longer to inspect than a slab foundation.)
